Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

.In 1994, it was acknowledged as the world Heritage site.Rukiga is a language commonly spoke in this area and the word Bwindi in realty means Impenetrable. The national park has 90 mammal species, including 11 primates, of which the black-and-white colobus, with its lovely flowing white tail, is prominent. The National Park is located in southwestern Uganda in East Africa. The park is part of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and is situated along the Congo border near Virunga National Park. 331 sq kilometres of jungle forest accessible only by foot. The place to see Gorrilas.

Katonga Wildlife Reserve
A national park in Western Uganda along the banks of River Katonga. The wildlife reserve was established in 1998. It measures approximately 211 square kilometres (81 sq mi). Many of the species of plants and animals in the reserve are unique to the reserve's wetland environment. This park can best be explored on foot and by use of canoes. It supports 40 mammal species and 150 bird species. Among the more visible mammals are elephants, water bucks, reed buck and river otter. The Uganda kob, olive baboons and colobus monkeys can be found.

Kibale National Park
Kibale National park covers an area of about 795km and its acknowledged to have one of Uganda’s most gorgeous tropical forest.Its a habitat to many forest wildlife and among these include the primates along with chimpanzees. Kibale Forest National Park is one of the best safari destinations in Africa for chimpanzee tracking. Kibale’s 795km2  National Park contains one of the most beautiful and with the most varying tracts of tropical forest in the whole of Uganda. This is place to a number of forest wildlife, most especially 13 species of primate including chimpanzees.

Kidepo Valley National Park
Kidepo's mammal list of over 80 species includes 28 that are found in no other Ugandan National park. Amongst these are such charismatic African animals as Bat-eared Fox, Carcal, Cheetah and Klipspringer. Lying in the rugged, semi-arid valleys of Karamoja province on the far northern border with the Sudan, Kidepo Valley is Uganda's most remote national park. Kidepo Valley National Park is a 1,442 square kilometres (557 sq mi) national park in the Karamoja region in northeast Uganda. Kidepo is rugged savannah, dominated by the 2,750 metres (9,020 ft) Mount Morundole.

Lake Mburo National Park
Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda's fourth national park, was designated in 1982, and is situated between the towns of Masaka and Mbarara. It is the only one to contain an entire lake. The attractive acacia-dotted savanna (158 square miles) is home to huge herds of impala, as well as uncommon topi, eland, klipspringer and other antelope. Zebra and buffalo also graze these peaceful acres. At the lake there are hippo and crocodile and a wonderful diversity of birds. Lake Mburo National Park is located in Kiruhura District in western Uganda.

Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is located in the southwestern corner of Uganda. The Park covers the northern slopes of the three northernmost Virunga Volcanoes: Mt. Muhavura, Mt. Gahinga, and Mt. Sabinyo. The Park covers an area of 33.7 km2. It is found in the extreme South Western corner of Uganda that borders with Congo and Rwanda. Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is one of the only two parks in Uganda that offer habitat for the endangered Mountain gorilla.

Mount Elgon National Park
Mt. Elgon is an extinct volcano that first erupted more than 24 million years ago. With the largest surface area of any extinct volcano in the world (50 km by 80 km ), Mt. Elgon is the fourth highest mountain in Eastern Africa, with the second-highest peak in Uganda (Wagagi Peak - 4321 metres ). Mt. Elgon contains crater covering over 40 kms at the top of the mountain, surrounded by a series of rugged peaks. Mount Elgon National Park is a national park 140 km North East of Lake Victoria. The park covers an area of 1279 km² and is by the border of Kenya and Uganda.

Queen Elizabeth National Park
Queen Elizabeth National Park covers an area of about 1978 km2; its position provides a magnificent view of the rift valley floor that occupies Lake Edward and Gorge. A habitat of about 95 mammals along with 612 species of birds. Queen Elizabeth National Park occupies an estimated 1,978 square kilometres of which, about 17% lies in Kasese District, 50% in Bushenyi District and an estimated 33% lies in Rukungiri DistrictThe area of the park extends from Lake George in the northeast to Lake Edward in the southwest, and includes the Kazinga Channel that connects the two lakes.
