When to travel to Uganda and What is the Weather Like?
Uganda enjoys the perfect tropical climate. Temperatures average about 26°C during the day and 16°C at night. The hottest months are from December to February. Uganda can be visited any time of the year.
Southern Uganda is wetter with rain generally spread throughout the year. The northeastern region has the driest climate and is prone to droughts in some years. Rwenzori in the southwest on the border with DR Congo receives heavy rain all year round. The south of the country is heavily influenced by one of the world’s biggest lakes, Lake Victoria.
It is sunny and green all year around with two distinct rainy seasons stretching from March to May and September to November. However, rain can occur anytime.
